Faster is a nice refresher for those who want the action, dangerous side of Dwayne Johnson a.k.a the Rock. After starring in family-friendly films suchThe Tooth Fairy and Race to Witch Mountain, The Rock gets his mojo back in this film and delivers the cold, bloody hits this movie promises.<br/><br/>This film is about a guy who is released after ten years in prison. Upon his release, he begins to go after those who violently murdered his brother. Trying to stop him are a cop with family issues and a dangerous hit man.<br/><br/>The acting is nothing special. There were some good performances especially by the Rock but nothing spectacular. There is also nothing mediocre so that of course is a good thing.<br/><br/>Overall, this is a fun film that delivers plenty of action and blood. This is somewhat run-of-the-mill, but I still enjoyed the heck out of it. As we all know, &quot;revenge is a dish best served cold.&quot; I rate this film 8/10. I&#39;ve to be honest at first. I am a big &quot;The Rock&#39; fan. I was so impressed by the movie posters and the trailer that I turned my username in my IMDb account to &#39;sujanfaster&#39;. This is a revenge saga, with a bit of suspense thrown into it. Though the movie is notintensethe trailer promised it to be, this certainly doesn&#39;t disappoint the fans of mindless action genre. Though the plot isn&#39;t thick, the screenplay is good and the director makes sure the protagonist doesn&#39;t waste any time. Dwayne Johnson delivers one of the best performances in his career. He has less words to speak and more emotions to show. Other characters have done their bit, but the problem is they are not well defined. Jennifer Lawrence impresses in a small role that she is in. The bottom line is if you love the movies with the &#39;hero effect&#39; you are definitely going to love this movie. But don&#39;t watch expecting logic and thick plot. Watching Driver peel rubber proves B grade action movies are a welcome diversion in the era of CGI blockbusters. If only Faster didn't fizzle each time Johnson put down his gun.
